The Productivity Trap
At some point I noticed: I was building so many systems to be productive that managing the systems had become a job in itself.
Tool or Goal?
Notion, Obsidian, Todoist, calendar apps, weekly reviews… Think about all of them. Calculate the time you spend learning, organizing, and maintaining each one.
If the tool has overtaken the goal, there’s a problem.
Returning to Simplicity
During the most productive periods of my life, I had just a notebook. I’d write three things I was going to do today. When done, I’d cross them out and move on.
Complexity is not a sign of productivity. Often it’s the opposite.
Zahit’s Answer
Building this theme, I applied the same philosophy: remove every unnecessary feature, leave only writing and sharing.
Maybe productivity works the same way — producing something good enough, for now, with what you have.
